Thread: XBLA: Death Tank | Forums

Wanted to let all of you know about an XBL Arcade title that could turn out to be LOTS of fun...

    ...DEATH TANK!

    Video at GameTrailers

From the video, this title reminds me a great deal of "Scorched Earth: the Mother of All Games", an old DOS game for the PC that I spent too much time playing. It's quite possible that Scorched Earth is the first game to boast destructible terrain, albeit in 2-D.

Here's the Download Page, the Wikipedia entry, and information on an updated 3-D version.

I've played Scorched Earth Vs. other human players, all sharing the same keyboard, taking turns. Each formulates his strategies and enters his moves (it was turn-based, if I remember correctly). Great fun to sit together and watch the outcome of each turn.

Multiplayer "Death Tank" (did it say 8 players?) should be a blast.

I've played this as a free flash game, I don't remember what it was called. It's a fun way to pass the time. But I don't know if I would really want to shell out 800 points for it.

It looks like a lot of fun. It reminds me of a real-time version of Worms Armageddon or Gunbound

Thanks to Phin for the sig!

Hey look, it is Worms and all the other variations of the simple tank game that is soooo old. Can't someone make something unique anymore?

Microsoft was going with the groundbreaking Train Sim before the economy took a nosedive and had to lay off the much hyped team.
