I know this must be boring to a lot of you, but I have never used forums or played online games ( unless you count Netropolis ). I might be new to online gaming but have put many hours into sp.
I would really appreciate any help to put me in the right direction and explain a few things.
1) what is Xfire
2)How do I get in to the game online
3) Where do I start!
I haven't put in anything about my system yet, cos it is all being revamped and upgraded at the moment.
I've been reading the forums and am very eager to get online. Any help please.

1:
Xfire is an instant-messenger chat-program designed for (online) games. If you are in-game and someone sends you a message, a small window pops up on your screen while staying in-game. You can press a key-combo to access your friendslist/the message and send a message back.
2:
Make sure you have got an Internet connection (which you do because you posted). Install the game.
Forward the ports on any router/firewall if necessary.
Make a Ubi.com profile and connect to Ubi.com .
Select a server.
Play
3:
see 2.
Make sure your PC meets the minimum requirements! Like a DVD-drive and a SUPPORTED GFX card.

Or start with SC CT, master it, and be a god in every other game cuz u have mastered such a hard palying style (though not really)

Thanks for your help sc world. I'm only running MSN messenger at the mo, do I need a messenger like xfire. If so, how?
My pc does meet requirements, but I want more. That's why it's being revamped on monday.
In reply to ts wakko, thanks for the comment but as I said, I've played many hours sp, and I enjoy a challenge

Terminator, you don't NEED xfire, but since there is no lobby chat for SvM, many SC players coordinate their games by using xfire.
If you want to get xfire, go to www.xfire.com and download it. It's a small program.

Scworld is holding out on you!
Not only does it allow you to talk to people ingame, but it shows your friends exactly which server your playing and allows them to join no problem.
And Ts wakko is right. I assume you singleplayer, meaning your going to be slow, lazy, and whining for lethal weapons. In MP as a spy, your against a guy who has lights, lasers, trip wires, mines, grenades, flares, and a gun. He can hear you and see you if you run, he can see you if your using a vision mode. He can knock you down any second your near him. The only way to win against him is to kill him *stealth* or run away *also stealth*
As a merc you do yadda yadda yadda. Find spy, kill the end.

Thanks again for all the input.
I might be new, I might be a bit slow until I learn the layout, but lazy never and whining not a chance.
I can be silent as the night and deadly as a scorpion!
