I have built a mission and I see the torpedoes drop into the water but I dont see any steam tracks or detonations. whats the optimal altitide and speed for the planes (kates) to be set at?

I have gotten them to work up to 350m and they probablly will work up to 500m, but to be historical the lower the better.

when the waypoint for attacking a ship has plane altitude set to 500m, it generally hits the ship. Make sure to set target on the ship you want the planes to hit.

It depends where you are looking from. Always set up static cameras when testing missions.

You should have no problems seeing torpedo wakes. As far as detonations, you obviously won't see any unless the torpedo(s) hit.

I usually set the attack attitude under 100 meters.

I have the Kates set for ground attack at 100m. the torpedoes are dropped but explode on impact with the water (4 out of 4). what should the speed be of the planes? does it matter in the game?

No, it shouldn't matter in this game, in real life yes. Can you post a pic of the water area and what map it is from, it sounds like a map issue?

I've never heard of nor seen that happen. If you could post the mission or the contents of the mis file somewhere, I would love to check it out.

PS-These days, I guess one question that has to be asked is...are you using any mods?
