Japanese airsoft manufacturer Marushin is set to release an affordable 8mm Gas Blowback M1 Garand airsoft gun this year. Price is rumoured to be around the US$600 region but we'll have to wait and see. It's also supposed to be of full metal/wood construction.

Nice picture of what looks to be the British XXX Corps in September 1944 getting ready to head up "Hell's Highway" towards Arnhem. Not an M1 between them I'm sure!

I was able to make a an m1 out of parts i got off the internet. Altogether it cost about 400 bucks and im only 13 but an airsoft one would be nice because i cant exactly play around with a real one.

First why bother posting such a stupid ill informed comment like that?

Second have you ever even played airsoft? I doubt it.

Third I do own a real M1 but sadly as I live in the UK and all functional semi and full auto full bore weapons are illegal, it is deactivated. Therefore the only chance I usually get to fire one is when I hire a blank adapted weapon when re-enacting. Airsoft gaming is vastly better and cheaper than paintball, it is an excellent teamwork based game and bloody good exercise instead of being sat on your backside in front of a PC or console all day.

    Some of my gear.

LoL, I found A R S E was censored last night. I'm afraid airsoft is illegal in Aus mate, bit of a bugger.

Sorry for the ignorance, but I'm jsut wondering what exactly airsoft is? I've heard it mentioned a good many times, but don't know what type of game (other than it involves guns heh) or what the rules are, where it is played etc. Is it legal in canada? Thanks.
