no way to know beforehand...
to this point, only developers and betatesters know how the titans rank...
will say this though, with their looks, if they are not powerful, they should be
seriously... that thing looks as if it can zap you just by looking at you

Actually, we don't know anything since the game is not released yet. But I can tell you - you can expect strong creature, 'cos it's the strongest (7th level) Academy town creature.

toon7 the titan was so weak in homm5 ? ;D how do you know that ? ;p
anyway.. I think the strongest units should be:
a) Angel
b) Black Dragon
c) Archdevil (wow.. I`ve just read on Genie`s Lamp that they can summon Pit lords.. wow ;D)
d) Titans
e) Emerald Dragon
f) Spectral Dragon
and it`s not that I don`t like Titans or something.. I just think Angels should be the best... IMO !!! ;p
given what we know about HoMM5 and its methos, i believe a more accurate ranking would be
1. Black Dragon
2. Emerald Dragon (even if the sylvan in me would like this to be #1)
3. Arch Devil
4. Archangel or Titan (archangels serve a dragon, titans are constructs)
5. Archangel or Titan
6. Spectral Dragon (never as good as the live thing)

oh.. and btw. I think that serving dragon doesn`t mean they are worse than Black dragons..
and Devils better than Angels.. noo.. It would mean our doomsday ;D
