Thread: There should be an option to turn third person off. | Forums

I really hope you can turn third person off when the game is released, the game is meant to be realistic, and that breaks the realism. also i hope the slow motion grenade explosions can be turned off aswell

Has been said a dozen times, look for the topic and add it in there, where people have already said it 10 times

    heheh, good call m1_maniac.
anyways, ive mentioned it once in another thread but i dont remember which one. in RS:Vegas, the third person view was only activated when you go UP to the wall and PRESS SHIFT, the third person view is activated, in order to get out of it, you press shift again. NOW, with that being said, i would put money on the table and bet that its the same context as RS vegas. maybe not using the shift button because shift is used for scrolling between squads. but im SURE another button will be used. i mean, gearbox is smarter than that. they know it would get really annoying if you switch to third person automatically when ever you are near a wall.
like seriously, im sure this is common sense.

hahaha, i liked it from the start, in one of the interviews of Randy Pitchford he said they are using the same engine as the one used for Gears of War(obviously unrealengine3, but at the time i didnt know gears of war was run by that engine). now i was insanely impressed with the TPC in that game, he even said they were adding to it so itl be better! looking at the TPC from gears of war and the TPC from hells highway, you can tell teh camera angles in it are different, personally i like the one from HH way better, it gives a more up close perspective.

    cant wait!!!!

( btw nanoflak, the 4th picture in your sig reminds me of the TPC from hells highway )
