Hi, I have the problem that when I press the Payload button, my system crashes and does a hard reboot. Can anyone help?

Also, I can't get my input settings to stick despite switching off the readonly. It doesn't even stick until I leave the game.

I used to get hard crashes and CTD's all the time (sometimes when I pressed the payload button or selected a different weapon for a pylon). Then I reformatted and reinstalled Windows, and there have been no crashes whatsoever since. That might not be anything you're willing to do, but it worked for me. Defragmenting might help,too. Good luck on solving your problem.

Thanks for the tip, I saw somewhere else that someone fixed this by going to the 45.xx Nvidia drivers, but these make my computer computer totally non-functional. I'll try the 52.16 ones instead. Does anyone know if these will still fix that problem?

Also, I'll try a defrag, as I'm at 18% fragmentation right now!!!

I had this problem, it would crash to blue screen with an nv4_disp.dll error using Windows XP Pro and a GF4 Ti4600 Vid card. I upgraded to the beta 53.03 nvidia vid drivers and the problem disappeared. I am running DX9.0b also.

I fixed it by going to the 52.16's. Also, this didn't completely bugger my PC like the 45.xx's did.
