Thread: Unable to create dircetory error | Forums

  1. #1
I installed the game and tried to play it but I get this error and it will not launch:

    Unable to create directory d:\\
    Filename:\Myst4\framework\base\private\win32\src\b ase\disk\file_native.cpp
    LineNo: 365
    Press 'Retry' to debug

    I checked this thread http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=t...622#3641001622

but that advice did not work for me. So I figured I'd uninstall and reinstall and just let the game install wherever it pleased on my HD. But it won't reinstall to the default location (C) -- I get an error telling me to make sure the target drive is accessible. Well, C is just as accessible as anywhere else on my HD, so I have no idea what's going on. Has anyone else had this problem? Any advice?

    P4
    2.5GHz CPU
    1GB DDR RAM
    Radeon 9800 128MB
    XP w/ SP2

    Thanks
