Ok this probably sounds like a really noob question (I started playing today), but how do you use the knife to stab people in SCCT? I'm running out of ammo in the first mission >.<

go near them and use ur mouse. left button is lethal attack (knife), right is non lethal.
ie. to stab them in their backs go behind them, get close and press left mouse. you can also stab them from front. but you have to be quick or you'll be shot.
so the person will get knifed regardless of what weapon you're currently holding?

yes, he will if it is your selected weapon, but you're not equipped with it

1]If you're holding your gun, put it away.
2]Come up to the guard silently from behind.
3]Once you're directly behind him, press [RIGHT CLICK] to use the Knife or press [LEFT CLICK] to KO him.
*** Killing an NPC (non-player character) will result in 2% deduction from your debriefing stats. So if you kill 2 NPC's that'll be -4% You get the idea.

i heard in full version, if you kill a civilian, you'll get a 0% rating. is that true?
Yes it is true, but it's easy to go through without killing civilians, just don't knife anyone who doesn't threaten you.
As for spyder's post, for me LMB is knife and RMB is knockout, and i have keyboard defaults. I assume Jelly will have keyboard defaults, so it's LMB kill and RMB knockout for you Jelly.

One heck of a stealth setup if your non-lethal attack and OCP buttons are your trigger finger
Just a tip, but you dun really have to go through the whole game killing everyone. Sneaking by works and is not too hard. If you do feel threatened, rather then gunning, either knife em or knock em out to save ammo.
Like Lambert said in the first game, "Your weapon should always be your last resort. Invisibility is your best option."
