Thread: Canon Storyline | Forums

Which storyline from Double Agent (old-gen or new-gen)does everyone think is considered the canon story that sets up the plot for Splinter Cell Conviction? It seems to me like it is the 360/PC/PS3 version considering the teaser trailer states that Sam shot his best friend (has to be Lambert.

    Thanks Guys!!

I agree with you. However, I'm not sure if I like the idea of Sam shooting Lambert being canon. Given Sam's character and his history with Lambert, I don't think he'd do it. Plus, I like Lambert and want him to return.

Considering how SC:C is being made by Ubi Montreal and since Ubi Montreal did the old gen..... Well yeah logicly they will follow there own story

I know, Lambert and Sam had too much history. They were best friends. I have a feeling Sam DID shoot him. But you hear him talk afterward, So I think Sam shot him but not in a fatal way. Remember, SWAT swarmed the place if you shot Lambert. BESIDES lol. I shot Lambert in the foot haha IF I shot him at all, MOSTLY shot Jamie.

I hated how Jamie said "Niiice grouping," when you shoot Lambert. You can only shoot him once.

well obviously the one where he doesn't shoot lambert. why? because only if you don't shoot him (and also don't do two other "bad" things in the game) do you get the bonus mission at the end. so logically that is the "good" ending which is considered canon. but who knows... i actually think the ending of the old gen makes much more sense than any ending in the next gen version.

The teasers/trailers talk of him shooting his best friend, so I am not sure how they do it any other way.

well it may be so, but it's strange as like i said you only get the "good" ending and the bonus level if you don't shoot him, which is apparently the canonical ending. but than again who knows, maybe when he sais he had to shoot his "best friend" (lambart? he's his boss not really a friend) he means something different, something that happened after double agent story line.the
