Flashing Blue Bars at top and bottom of screen | Forums

Hi all,

Pretty annoying online play: I load the game, choose AC and then once I hit fly and enter cockpit -> a horizontal blue bar at both top and bottom flash rapidly on the screen. If entering a game via IP, I stand a chance of disconnecting, then reconnecting (not quitting game) and making them go away. Tab out of the game, and BAM -> they're back. Join any game via Hyperlobby -> flashing bars every time.

I have:

1 - Reinstalled game
2 - Updated Nvidia driver
3 - Updated Monitor driver
4 - Come to a dead end


Thanks for any help at all, I really appreciate it. DX is posted below, and if someone tells me what my chipset is, I promise to write on the back of the machine and use it next time.

Hi all,

Pretty annoying online play: I load the game, choose AC and then once I hit fly and enter cockpit -> a horizontal blue bar at both top and bottom flash rapidly on the screen. If entering a game via IP, I stand a chance of disconnecting, then reconnecting (not quitting game) and making them go away. Tab out of the game, and BAM -> they're back. Join any game via Hyperlobby -> flashing bars every time.

I have:

1 - Reinstalled game
2 - Updated Nvidia driver
3 - Updated Monitor driver
4 - Come to a dead end


Thanks for any help at all, I really appreciate it. DX is posted below, and if someone tells me what my chipset is, I promise to write on the back of the machine and use it next time.

Have you reinstall DirectX after upgrading your graphic card drivers? This removes the old config of DirectX.

Also try finding out some stable driver's from your cards vender.

As always unistall drivers in reverse steps to how you installed them.

I would do a "Error Checking" on you system drive to clear out old indexes, after un-install. Goto My Computer > Right click C: > properties > Tools > Error Checking. You can disable Scan for Bad Sectors to speed up the process, but check the other box. Reboot.

Have you tampered with the screen resolution in the ini file, say 1280x1024?

I'd remember I get some coloured bars when I did this. Back to the default for me.

If you want to run at 1280x1024 resolution you need to change the 'SaveAspect=' in the conf.ini file.
