Thread: MFD DISPLAY is DARK | Forums

  1. #1
    I know...asked a 1000 times BUT this 'seems' different.
I have BOTH versions; v1.02 AND v1.1 installed on HD.
    1.1 works the MFD
[square instrument on right side of cockpit]
    1.02 does not.

    on v1.02
To "ACTIVATE" the MFD instrument holding Key-'I' does nothing. 'SHIFT-I' does nothing either.
In NAV mode as well as hitting '7' and '1' or 'tilde' does NOT activate the MFD instrument

    Sure could use an answer.

    thanks

    What airplane? A10?

The A10 dosnt have an MFD or radar at all. It's a TV monitor for Maverick engagement.

Yup...If you're flying the Hog, that's all it is, just a TV monitor. It won't do a thing unless you are carrying Mavericks and have one selected in AG mode.

Well, whatever it is called..... It comes up and is 'lit' and shows the airfields I am flying near and my final destination with glide slope etc. It has a range of 2 miles to 600 miles, that is zoomable.

Whatever it is it works in one version but not in the other. 'Friend' has it working in his ... same version as mine where it WON'T work.
Sooo now my question again is what to do to make it work ?!?!

So...does that mean you're not flying the A-10? If you post what aircraft you are flying, maybe someone who isn't strictly a Hog driver can help you get it working. What you describe as to what it did before the update, isn't normal behavior for the A-10 TVM.

What you were describing about being able to select ranges and see airfields on the TVM sounds like you had "Easy Radar" turned on prior to your update. If you want those functions again, go into your Difficulty Settings and enable "Easy Radar". This information, however, isn't displayed in the A-10 TVM IRL, so you might just want to leave it off so you can fly the Hog the way it was meant to be flown.
