When I download a 3rd party mission or campaign, despite having the old clouds set in my config file, I get the new clouds.

I assume if the mission builder is running the new clouds, then they will appear no matter if clouds are set to =0 just like online?

The problem is if I fly an older campaign or a single mission the new clouds remain!!??

    Anyone else experiencing this?

clouds=0,1 or 2 aren't the setting to turn the new clouds on or off - that's the setting for the graphical detail.

The setting to add/remove the new clouds is

TypeClouds= (0 for old clouds, 1 for new)

You'll need to add it to the conf.ini under the [game] heading. Note that this only works for single player, or if you're a multiplayer host. The server sets the cloudtype, and that temporarily overrides your settings online. Most online servers are running with the old clouds for performance purposes, though.

Sigh!...........Yes I know all about TypeClouds=0 which I added to my config file under game the moment I had downloaded the patch.

What I want to know is why I have the bloody new clouds when I shouldn't. Clear enough now?

cool down buddy... he was only trying to be helpful....

I don't think a mission or campaign has the ability to re-set your conf.ini file... there must be something else...
