Hey guys...


Post your recording software here please. I used to use fraps, but all my videos' playbacks were way to fast, it looked as though they were in 2x.

I'm a n00bie at this thing, so be patient. Plus, I guess this is what this forum is all about, right?

This is from fraps v. 1.9D helpfile:


<h5>When I replay the movie, it runs at double speed. How can I fix this? </h5>
This occurs because Fraps is not able to capture at the speed you indicated and there is no support for frameskipping in the codec. You can try dropping the target framerate in the Fraps dialog to 15fps before starting the movie capture. You can also try running the game in 16-bit color mode.

Well, already tried running the game in 16-bit color mode... will try the other option then.

I am just an amateur and havent put together any production, but for capturing, I find I like camstudio. It is pretty good and best of all it is FREE!!!

For editing I use Ulead VisualStudio 6... Bought it for my DV camcorder and it does some pretty nice edits.

Intresting irony.

I used Microsoft Visual Studio till last week when we upgraded to MS Visual Studio.NET hehehehe...

I never heard about that Ulead softwaere, but I'll check it out.

I think for editing I'll use Hollywood FX and Adobe Premiere. The company I work for has them but they are not using. I cleared it with the guy in charge of the licenses and he said it would be OK for me to use it even at home since they are not using those at the moment.

Forgot to tell u what I use.

Fraps for capture and Premiere for editing but will check out all the other proggies mentioned in this forum (except Microsofts Movie Maker proggie).

I hope you're not planning on making THAT kind of videos with the information you'll leech from this forum. We're here to make AIRPLANE videos based in IL-2:FB.
