Thread: desktop not set to 32bit | Forums

    fired up fc2 today and it updated/patched played a game and exited from game, now when i go to start the game i get a "error desktop not set to 32-bit mode.cannot continue"


    this never happened before any ideas plz?

    OS=vista home pre 64-bit

    Could you look into your Display Properties and set Color quality to 32-bit to see if it solves the issue?

    Run Far Cry 2 in Compatibility Mode, and that should fix the problem. Also make sure you have the game updated to the latest patch and Windows to the latest version.

    i fixed that problem now ,it will start up the icon for the game will start ,then the window will pop up for like 5 sec with the circle loading thing in it then nothing

    do u know how i might fix this?

    1. On your Desktop Right Click And Click On Properties
    2. Then Go To Settings
    3. And change Color quality To Highest (32 bit)
    4. Then Apply
