Game installed just fine. Activated okay and patched. When I run the game I get an error "James Cameron's Avatar: The Game has stop working" I never get to a Title screen. I even tried d/l'ing the demo from File Planet and get the same error. I run a AMD Phenom II X4 940 OC'd to 3.2 Ghz,8 gig OCZ memory, duel XFX 260s in SLI mode.This is the only game I've had trouble with.I run Aion with no problems @ 110fps full settings, Borderlands, Frontlines:Fuel of War, etc with no problems. I run Vista Home Premium 64 bit (Service Pack 2). Also installed on a second PC running Windows 7,Same problem.

I have the same problem, and I did the same thing with 2 different computers, I loved the movie and want to enjoy the game. I am watching what you are told.

this game is very sound setting picky. in your window sound speaker settings.

this is for both vista and win7 make sure it is no more then 48khz 24bit

but i can not play this game in win7 64bit ultimate at all. even with sound set to 44.1khz 24bit or anything else lower the game wont run at all in win7.

but in vista 64bit ultimate sp2 i can play up to 3 hrs fine then the game will crash and then play again for 3 hrs and then it will keep on crashing after that.

but i have the steam version but i have herd the retain version doesnt have that much problems but still the sound setting is what keeps all from playing yet.

i do have a thread about it but so far i have finish the game in both marine and navi it is a fun game while it plays..

I just bought the game and it will not even load from the icon in the start menu. I have to use the autorun form the disk and always downloads the update. I can get to one menu screen sometimes before it crashes. I adjusted my audio to 2 channel 44.. at 25 bit and then i tried 16bit. same results with each. I am running windows 7 ultimate 64bit. ASUS p5kc mobo, intel 9550quad core and ATI 4870x2, 4gb ddr3, video res at 1900x1200, I ran the directx update twice from the disc. If i click on the icon in the start menu it says that it can't load the resourses and that reinstalling the game might help, but it didn't help and i checked my audio driver, "windows has determined that my drivers are up to date" for the audio. I don't know......

Help please. I registered my Avatar game, played three times to the end (always as an Avatar, btw) but every time I try to get the extra content, it won't let me. I'm putting in my CD key code where it's asking for the code (only code I got) but it tells me it's already used. Yes, I used it, but it won't let me get the extra content. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

buy the game you get a key code no one is gonna give you theres there is no download content 4 pc not sher bout other systems as for gettin it to run in win 7 make sher its set to admin rights and i set mine to xp sp3 mode ill b tryin with out that next but it plays sweet now wouldnt start b4 i even did a online game
