Here is a quick glimpse of our (iNF3C71ON & neokinesis) third collaborative map, Floodgate Projects. We really tried to make this one for the community by studying the forum critiques, listening to play test suggestions, and experimenting with new game/strategy mechanics. This one has been a long time coming and I hope everyone has as much fun playing it as we did making it. Download and Enjoy!

The console is noted in the title of the thread. This is a 360 Map. The distance between Diamonds is 190m. the map takes about 5 grid spaces.

The level has been designed so that at any time or location within a matter of 5-10 seconds the players can climb nearby objects and get a glimpse of the surrounding areas. This is the easiest way to find people.

Since the players are very vulnerable while perched on top of buildings, rocks, bridges, crates, and towers, the fight resumes again down on the dried river floor. There is a very nice, stalk your prey aspect.

Floodgate was designed in a way that makes it feel like an A S S A U L T or trench warfare type level but offers a unique and fair battle for both sides.

Played on this one a couple of times. neokenisis and INFEC71ON both have unique perspectives on brush use and this map is a great example of how they work. There are a lot of lesser-used objects being utilized for very basic construction which gives the custom buildings a different look than the usual Colonial Fence fort. Subtle detailing is a strong point, giving depth to the setting without creating an overbearing focal point to detract from everything else.

I'd highly suggest playing this map on dynamic weather. The switch between weather types compliment the personality of the map.

    5-stars, guys.
