The cd-key is located in the registry database. You can access by running regedit.exe or regedt32.exe.

    Finde the location:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Red Storm Entertainment\RAVENSHIELD]

there is a string called CD-KEY which contains the CD-KEY in encrypted form if you are using the newer patches. So you can't just edit it and replace with new.

I suspect you have to edit the CD-KEY value to nothing entered or delete the CD-KEY string entirely, and enter the game and it will probably ask you for the cd-key again. I don't know if this works but it would be logically that it did.

I haven't tried this myself, so make sure you backup your reg settings related to RvS first:

Make a backup of the RAVENSHIELD reg folder by right clicking on it, and Export and save the file as soemthing.reg. Then you can always revert to it if you this doesn't work. Open it in notepad to verify it saved all the info you wish to backup.

Can't you just do this instead: Error: 'CD Key Already In Use' when playing on a LAN

You need to alter ports on one of the PCs in the inis explaination inside.

u caught me... i didnt see this until this past weekend because i never had an ONGOING issue before. usually it would happen occasionally and reentering a key worked. this weekend we tried over and over and over to get in at the same time and never could. i gave up and started looking for info and found this. i changed the ports and still no luck. finally rebooted my linksys router and wala! so now my ports are different and hopefully wont be an issue anymore.
