Thread: book for modding? | Forums

  1. #1
I was wondering if there were any good books to help out on the electrical side of creating some of these joystick/button mods I've seen. I really wana create my own pit soon but would like to start out by creating some switch boards full of buttons, switches, dials and whatever else I could fit on it just to learn how to do it before the "final" project. So if anyone knows any good books to help out the technical side plz drop em in here! I have no knowledge of wiring/circuitry/soldering but I can program when need be.

the only book out there that i know of is
    http://www.mikesflightdeck.com/mfdbooks.htm
but might be a bit ott for what you are initially planning.

as to circuitry/soldering, i can't think of anything offhand(learnt everything by trial and error mostly ) but should be worth scouring a library for something on basic hobby electronics.

presume you've read the stickied simpit thread at the top of the page, some useful links in there
