This is the game I've been waiting for since the first guitar hero caught my eye at a wal-mart demo display. The friend i was with immediately dragged me over to try it and i got hooked! i'd been playing guitar for a few years at that point and thought to myself, "This is the game for me!" and the next couple months had me up to expert and bored. Long story short, even rockband 3's pro mode turned me off with the comically poor craftsmanship of the guitar(surprising, considering the name behind it, as I've played some sweet squire guitars; i have a pro-tone tele that plays great), and its mechanical playing style (no bends? i mean, how are you supposed to play SRV?). Many moons later, enter Rocksmith. Finally! someone did the guitar justice in a video game! This is truly a great product and i think it will be very successful. I do have some suggestions, though:

    Practicing:
in riff repeater, the free speed could be changed to more of a 'study' tool. as is, i find it rather useless, because once you play through 100% speed, nothing else happens. it could be expanded to have start/stop controls, tracking to specific notes (step by step or however), player-set tempo, and maybe setting the mastery level as well, perhaps just not unlocking it for gigs unless you earn up to it in leveler. this would give anyone of any ability the chance to practice at a comfortable pace, see what they're up against, and not be dogged by lives and failure. once you play it through to the end, just have it loop until you quit out. something along those lines would be greatly appreciated, by me at least

    Menu Navigation:
I think enough has been said about it, i'll leave it by saying it could use some reworking. seems rather thrown together...

    Gigs:
I think an option to set up a custom setlist to play through at an unlocked venue just for fun would be nice to have, rather than customizing the gigs that come up or just playing one song. I wouldn't care if it scored me or not either. this would be handy for multiplayer too i would think. i'm assuming though, because i have yet to try multiplayer

I had more ideas, but i'm getting the itch to play so i'll put some more up later, if i get around to it

Thanks again for this wonderful game, you have a great thing here

Love the game. Love that I can plug in my 2 real guitars and play.
Love that its making me want to play again after having my guitars sit in their cases all alone collecting dust in my office.
Love the adaptive difficulty. Never makes it too hard to get so frustrated.

    Suggestions

    1) The ability to see a separate list of all the songs you have qualified for so that you can pick and choose an event from there instead of going thru each song album by album or by adding/subtracting from the given setlist.

    2) Ability to play all chords back to back to back and having it give us different strum patterns to practice with the number of random (or specified/selected) chords we choose so that we get better at them. Also as others have said the ability to play all chords is each song outside the song as practice and in random or song order but at any rhythm and speed you want.

    3) Easier menus and interface

    4) Options to turn on/off album art to make scrolling faster (i.e., list view)

    5) Ability to predefine your level (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced) in the beginning (or in a menu) and then it can still use adaptive tech to adjust in realtime as needed but this will let those that are a little more than beginner still have fun without taking 5-10 tries to level up all the way to full song.

    6) Adaptive difficulty throws new chords at you without warning so a way to minimize that or learn those things BEFORE playing. Perhaps a mode where you can play the chords outside the song and not at tempo/song speed but just to nail the fingerings and positions before you go to rehearse. So like a pre-rehearse mode. Somewhere in between riff repeater and leveler and rehearse mode.

    7) Ability to add DLC wishlist song requests right from the inside the game so it uploads directly the info to your servers. Daily limits or per user limits would apply of course. Simple interface to enter in Band name and song name

    8) DLC song preview ability from inside the game so you can hear it before you buy it. Also need to let us know how many versions are in there and how many tones / amp sims are included in the song we buy as DLC

    9) Ability to share efx/amp settings with the other users online from in the game. Like RB / GH user developed songs but instead for custom built patches/sound efx created by the users to share and download for free or at a minimal cost. You can try the patch of course before buying / DLing it

    10) More DLC / Add bass support

Thanks and I hope you continue to make RS even better and better

Would it be possible for the developers/game coder managers to give us a list of the top 5-10 items that the team IS currently planning on fixing/updating.

On another hobby site I frequent (Geocaching.com) they used a a feedback site called UserVoice (http://uservoice.com/) where users of the community can post suggestions and then once there are enough votes for each choice (each person is given 10 points to add to their favorite feedback/improvement item) the devs then say which ones are : For sure in the works; Under Consideration; and Denied/Cancelled

This would help us all to not repost ideas that just are not feasible and have a more structures approach and let us know which ideas are serious considerations and which ones may take some time

Can RS please consider using this method to interact and get feedback from the RS user community?

    Thanks

This game is exactly what I've been waiting for!

Despite the 5 lives thing and the menu layout (which just need minor tweaks), it is keeping me challenged & motivated.
I love the mix of songs which gave me some fun personal favorites to learn and introduced me to some that I've never heard before and enjoyed greatly.
Playing RS since Oct 19 2011 on the bundled Epiphone Junior
RSP 25M(ish) Level 11 - Rocksmith ( - In Rocksmith, I have yet to hear it from my wife

This game is awesome. As a guitar player of 20 plus years I simply could not take guitar hero and the like seriously. Aside from some wonky progressions I have no complaints. Like the middle part of satisfaction it is confusing what direction it is leading you in if its chords then at least progress with double stops then fill in the blanks. I would love to see some of the following bands added too. Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer,Dio, Ozzy, Tool, Primus, The Doors, Eagles, Smashing Pumpkins, Pink Floyd, Rush, Joe Satriani.......

That would make an awesome game much better.
    Thanks Ski

I'd pay damn good money to buy extra pedals!!

Thank you for not letting me down. it's not perfect but a great first crack at it.

wish on the extra cable you had "must have additional game controller as well" as I only have one game controller but bought the cable for a friend of mine who plays, we couldn't play multiplayer because i didn't have two controllers.

Overall a better/more popular song selection would be great. Can't wait for a second more refined version just go easy on the packaged guitar and don't make my new epiphone look too poorly against whatever you package with rocksmith 2 lol.. then again now i would have a reason to grow a collection of "axes"

    Rock on!

    I got an idea.

How about an adjustable fade slider to show note names on the fretboard? So you could choose to see the names sort of like the fret numbers & dots? I think it probably would be too cluttered to put them running down the highway.

But let us pick the color, brightness, and fade.
Seems like a easy & low CPU cycle patch.

Seems a waste not learning the note names when your staring at the screen all the time anyway.

    Ok, suggestions

    MORE options -
Choose new crowds or cartoon crowds
choose stage view or crowd view
    choose notes or gems
choose number of riff repeater lives 1-100
    choose level manually option

    Eye candy options
FX - lasers, fire, bubbles whatever
note highway fade out option as a new type
of master mode...as you get it right 100%
the note highway fades out...start missing
and it fades back in - a good stepping stone
    to regular master mode

that is enuff for this post

i posted this in its own thread, but thought this might be a good place for the devs to see:

    http://forums.ubi.com/eve/foru...1009359/m/9301027169

Why does the song Jessica only have 1 arrangement? A song that epitomizes dual guitar leads only allows you to play one of the 2 guitars?

Every other song has more than 1 arrangement, allowing you to play different guitar parts, but this one is limited to 1? This is the perfect song to learn about harmonizing and would be great in multiplayer. I was pretty disappointed to pay 3 dollars and find that it only had 1 arrangement. Is there a way to post that information before purchase?
