i won't go into detail because it might get out of hands so i will say fate can not be changed due to religous beliefs

I'm going to get technical here...bear with me.
    Fate, by definition, is:
"the supposed force or principle which predetermines events."
Predetermines, that means no matter what I do, my fate and my actions are written down and set. Not so. If you were to say 'You're about to jump up and down like a maniac and cry "I'm just me!"', I would do all I could not to do said action, thereby changing my so-called predetermined fate.
Even if you say fate changes as we go along, that defeats the purpose of it being fate, it ceases to be definite, and becomes something we can alter.
But, this is just my opinion, so if you seriously believe it's your fate to sing the "I'm just me" song, by all means...

hmm I think I know what your saying..which is what I believe.
Like your fate is written it cannot be changed. Like the old man was right..partially..
He said that you cannot change your fate, no man can, which is correct..but he said you will die..the dahaka will kill you..which didnt happen..so this means that the old man just thought the prince would die by the hands of the dahaka..
Like you can control what you your choices are..but whatever you choose is already written out

I think tis the same as Azael said..kind of hard to explain..

Personally, I believe that fate does not exist. There is nothing which predetermines what you're about to do, and your choices are your choices (I believe)

But I like the idea of fate in a fantasy-world setting, because it's kind of fun to write. If used in such a setting, then I think that the basis should be that it can't be changed: that's kinda the whole point. If it can then it's not fate.

first of all... if there's a fate... which let's presume you would like to change it, you should first be aware that there exists one. i have seen many persons who missled they'r life to a game. so i told this to some other persons... don't confuse game with life.
fate might exist but you ain't prince and you ain't gonna change it. and that's a fact.

I believe that we do have a fate, but it can be changed. I mean, if you know your own fate, then you can change it. You will change your previous fate, but your changes will create an alternate destiny...that's how I see it.
After all, I believe time travel is possible, so how could time travel exist without destiny?

actually this point is really simple:

some ppl think, that if they were going to die, and they didnt bc they saved themselves, that they have changed their fate; but in the matter of fact, their fate was to live not to die!

And what u do in life, is what u WILL do, and what u did, is what u were supposed to do, and the proof to this, is that it already happened

And actually, what the prince has done in Warrior Within, was his destiny
he was destined to change what he has done.

destiny and fate is not what happens to u even if u fight it, no, it's simply the outcome of ur choice: what u ate yesterday in breakfast, is ur destiny, and if u hadnt eaten, it's also ur destiny; yes u made ur choice, we dont deny that, but what happened is what was supposed to happen to u.

Ppl think they shape their own fates, but actually, whatever they will do, it was going to happen, either good or bad.

The old man told the prince, that he is going to die, well this is were the problem lies: no1 can ever know his fate, bc fate is future. And what will happen in the end of the game is the prince's fate, even if he lived, and in that case, the old man would be demented bc of atherosclerosis, and not the prince defeating fate lol!!

Kaileena did see the prince kill her, well i think she saw only the first time he did: she saw only the middle of the the game lol: so her fate actually didnt change

I don`t really belive in fate. If youre actions are know long before u make them, and cannot be changed, then what whould be the point of living? Fate whould make youre life useless becouse youre destination whould be known before youre journy began.

Another posibility that crossed my mind is that fate(if it existed) is not the script of youre life, but a serries of inevitable events dispersed through out youre life, but u still have a choise, and there are diferent paths that u chould follow.

Anyway, remember that we do have a choisedo have a choise.
