hi, i'm wondering if anyone has any advice or has had the same problem. I recently followed some advice on here with regards to upping my resolution. in the game setup the most it would let me have was 1280 x 960, I now have it running in 1280x1024 with 4xaa and 4xaf in exellent and it looks superb.

however the one problem is i now have dissappearing arrow icons around the edge of the screen, they come and go, which can be really irritating when someone is on your 6 but no sign of the arrow.

i run the game in directx because my frame rate drops from an avereage of 35 to 25 in open gl

    i have an amd64 3200+, fx5900 ultra 256, 1gig ram, audigy 1

    any suggestion welcome

dissappearing icons is unique to directx. I am not familiar with the arrows, but can confirm icons vanish near the ground. Also, you are unable to visually padlock ground targets.

Maybe have another look at ogl and ingame/ control panel settings.
