    -S- All!

i'm somewhat new to this game (been playing SH3) so i'm sorry if this topic has already been brought up. Its 1941 and i'm in an S-18 (i think) station at Jawa. My question is where are some good hunting grounds in 1941? Is there a Community manual for SH4?

    Thanks for all your help!

    Rabaul on the Solomon Islands.

Position yourself just North of the port and the land forms a natural chokepoint about 10NM (I think). Pop yourself down to periscope depth and listen on the hydrophones - I guarantee you'll be picking up contacts all over the shop!

4 trade routes lead in an out of rabaul and they are all roughly on the same course. I'm playing my career and the year is early 1942 - I dont know if the Japanese will have invaded there in 1941 when you are playing.

I'm also currently getting silly amounts of contacts just to the west of Truk in the Caroline Islands. Three routes heading north, west and south, so would be ideal if you treated the area as a patrol within a rough 50nm circle encompassing Truk.

Just south east of Singapore is a good place as is just east of Celebes Sea outside that port that begins with a 'D' whichs name evades me. Both ports have good convoys around.

If shallow water hunting is something you like about midway between Malaya and Indochina(1/2 way up to the Gulf of Thailand) there is a 'crossroads'.

I've put a lot of iron on the bottom there (1942).

The Pacific ocean is the best hunting ground. Not much action in the Atlantic!

Truk should be a decent hunting ground, but in stock the traffic all goes to the west for some reason.
