Okay after alot of research and such ive found out even tho steam promises all expansions and original game it does not provide the european maps etc intercepting B 17s over germany in a 109 or any other stuff just germany vesus russia japan/US/RAF in asia only

New Campaigns: Nine new campaigns with nearly 200 missions add incredible realism and attention to detail. There are detailed careers for fighter and bomber pilots, for the German, Soviet, and Japanese air forces, offering such varied objectives as flying jet bombers over occupied Europe, to intercepting American B-29 Super fortresses over Iwo Jima and Japanese home islands!
Alternate History: Three of the nine campaigns are a departure into alternate history, focusing on hypothetical battles between the Soviet Union and Germany in the year 1946, while WWII still rages on.
Nearly 1,000 new Paint schemes: The new planes, as well as many of the other ones in the series, come with a host of historical paint schemes, showing many of the individual aircraft or squadrons that served in WWII.



Can anyone explain ? updated game to 4.10 had it for around 1 month now trying to figure out why and what was wrong ... i used to own the game but when i switched out my old pc and wanted to install the game it could not read the CD so bought it on steam instead :/

Now help me out please wanna do strafing runs over Germany/UK

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. The Steam version has all the content of the dvd version. Is there a particular campaign that's missing or do you think some actual maps/planes are missing?

well theres no US vs Germany no UK vs Germany etc no battle of Britain not sure if it was a mod i used to have install as its 2-3 years since i last played IL-2 :/

It may have just been a user made campaign, or you may be thinking of one of several third party paid add-on packs that were sets of campaigns and missions.

Check out www.mission4today.com for a TON of user made campaigns.

Start collecting 3rd party campaigns, make sure you are patched up to the correct version to fly them and the joy will come back no doubt.
