Thread: Units not talking to you through headset? (PS3) | Forums

1. #1
Hey all,

Small thing that I was wondering, is if for what ever reason, do the units not talk to you on the PS3 version? I'm using the official headset if it matters, though I don't see why it should since it's the headset that is bundled with some Endwar copies.

I played the demo of Endwar on the 360 using the 360 headset, and units would relay various important info and progress reports that would be helpful in battle if your camera isn't on them. On the PS3 though, I haven't heard any of that chatter though the earpiece of my mic, and it comes out through the TV's speakers instead, which honestly is useless since it's hard to hear what they say in the midst of battle, and it often gets jumbled together and ignored by me.

Is this the same case for anyone else?

wow, i didn't know it was possible to hear them through your headset. it makes sense and should have been better for the reasons you mentioned. unfortunately, it does not work for me either. i have the bundled headset as well as a motorola one. no success. plus the official headset mic doesn't work property :-( . volume seems too low

All my unit chatter comes from the TV speakers. I didn't know it was supposed to be any other way.

My units will go back and forth between my speakers and my headset. But the female update voice is always through my headset.

(PS3)
settings -> accessory settings -> manage bluetooth devices, hold the on button for the bluetooth till it stays lit, search bluetooth devices, then when the "headset name" comes up click on it, it will pair your Ps3 with your headset. i think the universal code is 0000 and then go to audio device settings change to -> "headset name" on send and recive, then press OK (make sure to press OK to save settings)

Well, it has been several weeks since I played the 360 demo, so I could be wrong about that. But regardless, I haven't heard any talk through my Playstation mic- female, unit, or otherwise.

does anybody have any info on this yet? I'm on ps3, not heard anything but an odd buzz through my headset and unless I'm commanding a squad of angry bees then i think I'm in the same boat, ie squads reply through my TV.

this should be fixed, would be the perfect improvement. is there anyone who has got radio chatter through their headset?

thanks,

Kick
