Hi
First of all, great news, thanks for (long awaited
announcement. Early 2006 seems far away, but then again, I have so many great games yet to finish that I won't see it coming
Anyway, I have two questions/remarks that pop right now (I'm not going to repeat every other post that was written):
Is it still worth for us players/fans/etc giving feedback to the development team on all aspects of the game ? You said you were half way through the game, that should leave some place for suggestions at this point I guess
Are there any areas though for which you would appreciate feedback more than others, while other areas are maybe already pretty much set in stone ?
I like the few screenshots you've published. Very Etherlords-like, but that's not bad, and the spirit of the HoMM series seems to have been kept. I'm very cautious though and am eagerly waiting to see what the consequences of the 2D->3D change will be on the actual gameplay. Graphics are not my focus at all, while gameplay is essential.
I know I said I was not going to repeat other posts, but...hey that's my opinion
Last (but not least): the forum checks on the browser type when connecting. It denies access to Opera 8 beta (although it says it is compatible with Opera 7+), so there's probably a bug somewhere in the check
My wife and myself are big fans of the HoMM series, and we hope this whole new episode (although the 5th in the name, it's a new one) will be a great game.
Keywords for us (things we'd like to see): turn-based (!), RPG side, random map generator, lots of creatures/towns BUT not at the expense of variety. That's for a very quick start
Good luck and please bring us a great game
