Thread: Copyright is messing with my DvD Rom! | Forums

The game won't run giving me cannont locate Cd-Rom message

The PC does not see the DvD Rom drive anymore. When I check in the CMOS, it is seen by the BIOS, but the naming, ie lettering is all weird and screwed up.
I put in other DVD's in and everything was fine. Put back the BiA DVD, and all I get is error messages nothing happening.
This is NOT cool Ubisoft!

If anyone else has the same problem, keep this thread going and if anyone has a solution let us know as well.

I'm about ready to take the game back and just switch it for a console game, cause this B.S. Not to mention I cant get a hold of technical support for UBI because they are closed on Weekands!

I have the exact same problem. Tried it on 2 computers. All I get is click, click, click on DVD ROM drive. Both computers far exceed requirements.

Relics0, how about some more details. That is not allowed

This is total BS. I have 2 very good computers (P-IV, 2.8 GH, 200 GB hd, 16X DVD ROM, 128 MB vid card). I will NOT buy a new DVD drive just to play this game. Everyone needs to return this junk to the store so they lose money over this.

It's actually pretty amusing that copyright protection is forcing legitimate users to download the illegal software. Kind of defeats the purpose of the protection.
