i really hope this will be fixed soon cuz i really want this platinum

Umm... some people invest large amounts of their time to get %100 achievements or trophies. When they do what is required for said achievement, and it doesn't unlock because of the game company, it's kind of understandable for them to be angry.

For some people this might not seem like much. But for a messed up patch like this to slip through without anybody from said company even being aware of it, that's kind of a big deal. And since Assassin's Creed is Ubisoft's biggest franchise right now, for this to happen to their biggest game, it just kind of reflects the amount of quality they put into all their games.

So no, you *******, it's not childish if stuff like this isn't supposed to happen in the first place. The rest of us who this happened to shouldn't even have to wait 15 seconds, let alone more than a week.

Havnt started on the books yet, but the 'craft maniac' achievement is glitched from the patch as well.
But by deleting the patch and playing offline i was able to get it.

Delete the patch by pressing the xbox-button on your controller, go to settings -> system settings -> storage (or memory). Choose your hard drive, then Games and Apps, locate AC: Revelations and inside there you will have a list of items such as save games, uplay passport and the update/patch. Simply select the patch and delete.

Trophies may not matter to all people, but every detail counts when it's the biggest title...
Here's why *I'm* personally a bit annoyed at this glitch. When I played Brotherhood, I played it too fast, and there was a bug before the first patch where some of the Chapter trophies (and a few others I think) didn't unlock. There was no retroactive way to get those missed trophies back, so I had to replay about 70% of Brotherhood just to get those damn trophies...

Now this time, I didn't play Revelations fast enough! I waited too long, and now with the patch, I got screwed out of another trophy, and have to play 70% of Revelations again? ARGH, I don't have that much time to play games, so it was rough collecting all the books this time, and now I've got to buy up the whole city again (or wait hours for the cash to accumulate). I know it's just a picture on a screen and that trophies are a gimmick, but it's the principle of the whole thing, and dammit, I want my trophy!

Anyways, I've got a few other ones still to track down, so hopefully they figure out a way to give these back to us with the next patch, but I have a feeling I'll be running through the game again... I just hope I don't have to play Assassin's Creed 3 twice for the same reason... I mean, I'm a huge fan of the series, but come on...

I know this glitch angers me too. today I saved up all the money for the cappadocia books. Bought them all then was furious when I didn't get my achievement. Afterwards I googled why I didn't get my achievemen found out about the glitch and was even angrier . maybe its just me but it seems AC. R is an unfinished game. And ubisoft just isn't fixin it.

It's just an achievement, the game wasn't created so you could complete them. It was created so you could enjoy the gameplay and storyline, or the multiplayer experience.

I get where you're going with this but, overall ACR feels rushed. I feel like they couldn't finish it on time so they packed it up as it was and sent them away. Now, the patch to fix the multiplayer issues disabled the achievement/trophy. However, if they had 'finished' the game there would be no reason to put out the patch to fix multiplayer, ergo disabling the achievement/trophy. I'll still play the game but to me everything about it is very very buggy. Even now, Late into January 2012 they haven't fixed the issue that is the Sage achievment. I for one am not going to boycott Ubisoft over 20 gamerscore. But, most of the people here agree, it's not about the gamerscore. It's just the principle that Ubisoft screwed us out of one of the best, if not the best Assassins Creed in the series. If they had taken maybe, 1 extra month to fix any potential issues before release date. It would be so much easier.

The new MP maps should be available today. Hopefully Ubi will release a title update along with the pack.

do you have to pay for these maps, and i got acr special edition and the armor and 2 multiplayer characters (half the reason i bought special) dont work i put in codes all correct and in my playstation accont it says activated GAME EDITION so i think the code i got is the wrong 1 for my game, ubi have annoyed me alot, i have spent extra money for less of a game!

Ran into this very issue today. Just another in a long list of ACR disappointment/frustration. If I wasn't such a big fan of the previous games I would be fuming.

I'm not angry, just very, very disappointed :P
