Thread: I feel cheated | Forums

Well I final got around to playing and completing Prince of Persia Prodigy 2008 for PC, and I have a lot of mixed feelings about it, mostly I'm pi$@#d off. I've never felt the need to complain about a game in a forum before, but this one set me off. Before I get to that though I would like to say what a wonderful job done with the cell shaded graphics...I found myself spending a lot of time just looking around and admiring the view, The whole game graphic wise is gorgeous, you have a fantastic art department. And the music , well it was just beautiful to listen to , and set the mood perfectly.

The voice acting was also great, I got more than a few laughs at there conversations, it had such a great story, the way they would convey emotions, there flirting with each other...it was very entertaining, it made you feel for the characters, and that's why I feel so cheated. Because the ending was horrible, come on...really, any kid in a kindergarten class could have came up with a better ending than that. It made me feel like all the time I spent playing and everything I did was for nothing...what a freaking let down.

I was expecting and wanted a happy ending, I don't play games to for hours on end to see a gloomy and worthless ending, I want to feel rewarded for the time I spent playing it, I'm sure the majority of the gamers feel the same way. It was like a slap in the face after feeling good knowing you completed the game. You had them flirting with each other throughout the whole game, at least at the end you could have added a little romance...a soft embrace, a little kissing...etc. Seriously if I was head one over at Ubisoft, the emo who thought of that ending would be telling his/her stories to the people in line at the unemployment office.

I'm all done spending my money for BS like this...I think for now on I'll download the cracked games, if there good and have a rewarding ending, then I'll buy them, if there not then I won't feel so cheated and let down.

This must be a really bad story if it makes you upset like this. Even if you don't admit it: Seems to me like you like the story. A story you hate couldn't make you upset like this.

Yeah I did like the story, I liked it a lot...it pulled you in and got you involved, it made you care what happened to the characters. That's why I was upset at the way it ended, it totally ruined the whole game, it made everything you were fighting for in the game meaningless. I can't really explain it without spoiling the game for others, you'll have to play it to know what I mean. You can check the ending out on Youtube, but you probably won't understand it unless you know the rest of the story leading up to the ending.

If it weren't for the horrible ending this game would have been a 10+ title in my book, it's to bad they had to go and ruin it. Hopefully someday Ubisoft will make a sequel and give it a more meaningful and rewarding ending.

Though not available on PCs, they do continue the story in the Epilogue which is downloadable content for the 360 and PS3 versions (I know, it sucks that it isn't on PC, but there are a ton of threads about that already. The story is open, and the intention was to continue in sequels. Maybe one day it will happen.

Personally, I loved the ending. It made everything real and epic. It will continue one day I'm sure. It was obviously not meant to be the end (even after the Epilogue).

Yeah, I know. Actually there's a lot of them. I just wouldn't want new people like Jehuty588 or myself to feel unwelcome, so I thought I'd talk to her rather than act like a moderator when I'm not one...

Not all stories have to have happy endings. Personally I liked the ending, especially since I thought it had ended when the credits rolled (a WTH moment for me). Just because it had a darker ending doesn't make it worthless, or the developers "emo". In fact I wish more games would have darker endings; so many games have happy endings it's become predictable and generic.

Yeah the ending was pretty good, unusual, but that's what made it so great. I'd really like to see the Epilogue, but Ubi people are baaad, so I won't. Btw. dear Ubisoft, did you know that GTA 4 DLCs are coming to the PC?
PoP Classic for the PC, Ubi?
