I agree with you when you say "Combat is still very easy".. But I think that's the point.. You're supposed to feel like a hero - Someone who can easily kill a handful of guards with ease.. Whether it be telegraphing their attacks, dodging, countering - It's all done in a way that lets you feel bada55.. I will not criticize Assassin's Creed for that.. It makes up for "easy combat" in so many other ways..

And I also wouldn't jump to conclusions about not being able to stealth through THAT particular demo mission.. You KNOW every mission in AC can be done a multitude of different ways.. That was just an example..

Ubisoft has never let us down with Assassin's Creed - I think Revelations will be no exception to that..

As for Ghost Recon taking on many aspects of SCC - It's way too obvious.. But then again - These are Tom Clancy titles.. They are in and of an entire universe.. Why SHOULDN'T they contain some of the same features LIKE projected text? I don't see how that's a bad thing at all.. I am one who thinks projected text is a great substitute to the hovering text boxes and intrusive pop-ups..

    EDIT:

Take back what I said about Eidos and Hitman.....

"He has a new tool called instinct, which functions a lot like detective vision in Batman: Arkham Asylum. It's an alternate vision mode that outlines enemies--very useful in this dark and ominous library level--and gives you a small visible pathway that your enemy is walking along."

    W.T.F.

    Sonar vision all over again...........

In the first game, timing was key. Now it's not that important to push the button at the right time to make a counter attack. It was always somekind of "easy" when you were used to the timing but at least it was something. The thing is the combat got easier and easier with every new title.

It gets easier and easier with every game, why making it easier if it's already kind of easy in AC1. There the enemies were much more aggressive and really did search for when you vanished.

And I also wouldn't jump to conclusions about not being able to stealth through THAT particular demo mission.. You KNOW every mission in AC can be done a multitude of different ways.. That was just an example.
Of course there are a lot of more missions but it's supposed to be an open world game with a lot of freedom and alternative ways to do a mission. In Brotherhood, missions were often scripted, you were often forced to kill a lot of people.

Ubisoft has never let us down with Assassin's Creed - I think Revelations will be no exception to that..
Yes there are a lot of aspects where I am sure they won't disappoint, like Design of overall location, Soundtrack and Story. I have nothing against these badass animations for the combat, but they should be more difficult to achieve, because it's Assassin's Creed, do it like an Assassin would do it, not like an one-man-army
guy. The Creed was a major aspect of the game, now it's nothing. Why do we have Social Stealth in the game?

I have no problem with the new Eagle vision, since it's an important part of the game series. The sixth sense, which is like the Hero vision from the old SCC 07. Subject 16 has perhaps also the sixth sense which is why can see somehow in the future. Ezio has now Eagle vision which allows him to see where the guards are moving. This gives me at least a small portion of hope that Stealthtactics, freedom in mission will make a big return. Others will use it, to know where to set a "mine" (if there is one). I will use it for Stealthtactics (using for distraction), if at all.

I really dig the Far Cry 3 trailer, that dude "did i ever tell you the definition of insanity?" hilarious. I really like the knife animations though. Pouncing on the one guy, grabbing the other guys knife from behind. I think the immersion will definitely be twice that of 2. I'm also looking forward to Tomb Raider, it's about time there was a real good survival game on the map. Out of everything I look forward to Deus Ex the most though

Sorry I thought it was still about ACR.

But it's up to the difficulty whether you have that instinct. Hardcore fans will be able to play without it. I already read about this feature in a german article, the one above linked (PC Gamer). Instinct is just for the beginners, to make it more accessible but still hold on the core gameplay for longterm fans when playing on higher difficulty, which I suggest SC should do too.

Yeah yeah - Well still.. Who knew there could be an "old school difficulty settings" argument..

Well I think the difficulty modes are the only thing to make the game more accessible while keeping the hardcore gameplay. It's a good idea having "Instinct" for the beginners and turning that ability off in in higher difficulties. Kind of the idea people suggested for M&E. The higher the difficulty the lower the number of marks will be.

    Hitman Absolution:

I think we shouldn't worry about "lack of Stealth"

Let's take a look at what we saw. 47 neutralizing guards and entering a building. Now we see a LOT of CQC moves which were NOT in 47's repertoire earlier. He uses improvised weapons and 'creative' means to kill people. We also see him cutting through glass and entering the house (new ways to infiltrate places )

This trailer (like all) was meant to showcase the new mechanics of Hand to Hand combat, Improvisational kills and environmental kills. It's like the Conviction trailers where they showcase the high intensity sequences (M&E, Hand to hand, chase scene, explosions etc.)

IMO Hitman really needed some aggressive takedowns in his arsenal. His previous lack of said skills was mind boggling.

As for instinct vision....I dunno. Seems like EVERYONE is getting X-ray vision...from Sam to 47

ACR: Again...the demo was there to show the new mechanics in place....a bomb, the hook in combat and a nice lil 'Exotic' gameplay moment (Personally think these so called exotic mechanics are utter **** and should be scrapped)
    to round it off

The Bombs and Eagle sense should allow us more depth in playing it our way....Stealthy. I cant wait to try it out.

    @KenTWOu

    Thanks!
