After updating to 1.5 I no longer have crew slots for the deck gun on my american sub on save games and can only use it manually. It still accepts the order to man the deck gun but no one does! Any ideas about this?

this happened to me in 1.4 but after i switched from a aft deck gun to a fore, unfortunately for me i think i restarted my career as i was only a short way into it. but i think there is a fix for it. anyone?

No Mods, and I think the last poster hit it on the head. I moved my deck gun to bow and thats when it happened. I have had to scrub that campaign and start again.
The only time you can move your deck gun from fore to aft or aft to fore is when you get a new boat. Any onther times will bring the dreaded missing gunner slots.
Choose your deck gun position wisely, because your going to be stuck with it on that boat.
You can upgrade the deck gun as they come available without any problems as long as you put that new shinny 4" 50 where the old 3" was.
