Thread: Strang Sound Echo problem | Forums

    <span class="ev_code_BLUE">im somehow getting echos as a sound in scct since i have my new computer.

    im using a logitech gaming headset and have 5.1 connected with optical.

    i can hardly hear a merc shooting, hear myself rolling or shooting, etc

    what could be the problem and how to solve this </span>

    I'm guessing your audio card is on-board? I had the same thing - even posted about it a while back. Crazy echoing on Factory and next to no sound on Warehouse(surround sound was too loud and masked everything else).
    If you do have an on-board audio go to Control panel -> Audio options -> Advanced -> (tab)Performance and tone "Hardware Acceleration" down 1 level(so it would be 3/4).

    ive got an A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo.... using AC'97 according to hardware managment... and that aint on realtek.... so dunno which one to download </span>
