Bought the game today and know my system exceeds the requirements. When I open up the setup it looks like its in html code....I tried clicking random buttons and all it does is open up the file in my DVD (BiA) like I clicked on explore DVD. I contacted UBI and got almost no help other than the comment "buy a new DVD drive." Why should I do that....UBI wont post a list of drives it works on so what should I do....buy one of each drive and hope one works....anyone have any idea on what I can do....or for that matter why UBI wont post a list of DVD drives that the game wont work on?

    AMD Athlon XP + GHz
    1024MB RAM
    Radeon 9800 PRO AGP
    Lite On DVD drive 8X

Lite on drives have a common firmware issue with copyprotected cdroms. A firmware update should fix your problem.

I'm having the same problem with a Plextor PX-708A DVD-R drive, 2 gigs of RAM, and a GeForce 6800 Ultra card. Running XP.

Upgraded my Plextor firmware to v1.8, but that didn't fix it.

I tried to download the update but it says that there is no matched drive detected, but then lists my drive (the same one I downloaded the patch for) as a detected drive......I dont know what gives, if I spend much more money upgrading the wife is going to make me sleep with the computer lol...I tried getting the patch from e machines but they dont have one.

    Any more ideas?

Downloading the new drivers from this site for the Lite-on DVDRW SOHW812S worked for me. Many thanks.
