No way, indeed I think it will benefit the game. If you have more time, you have a bigger chance of winning. With time you make the graphics better, the story..etc. And the most important thing there will be no rush...

I DONT THINK IS GONNA HURT IT, BUT IT WONT BE THE # 1 GAME, REMEMBER THAT WE HAVE MGS4, RE4, DMC4 ETC, COMING OUT ON 2007. I STILL THINK THE GAME IS GONNA ME GREAT, BUT, BY THE END OF NEXT YEAR THERE'S GONNA BE A LOT OF GREAT GAMES AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET.
No doubt it won't suffer from this delay.
There obviously great games coming out at the end of the fiscal year but none is like this game on many aspect: AI, freedom, plot and the wonderful graphics.
This game will make the others blush of jealousy... DMC4 is a title I can't wait to see but the animation are poor and sooooo current-gen. MGS4 is a solid game coming out, no doubt. RS4 is also one great game but nothing revolutionnary in it, everyone is used to the type of gameplay it as to offer and they better come with something drasticly different to surprise us on the plot. GTA is sooo GTA, nothing new graphicly, they don't seem to exploit the horsepower of the new consoles, at least graphicly... At least there is Phil Collins in it
Great games are coming out at that time but only one Assassin's creed. No direct competition in my opinion, what might help AC becoming the game of the year.
