    Welcome to the Forums!

The following ought to have enough info to at least get you started:
-- CD version (With pictures, and there's also a troubleshooting guide!)
    -- DVD version

I'm having the same problem - when the game is launched it demands I insert the already-inserted dvd. The DVD version link in the post above leads nowhere.

I bought the 10th anniversary edition which says Mac compatible on the box - only to find that only one of the included games is compatible with a modern Mac... and it doesn't even work. Not impressive at all!

I am using the Myst 10th Anniversary DVD edition on Mac OS X Leopard.
The suggestion by realXCV above, about creating an Exile DVD folder and placing the data directory in it is what I needed to get it working.
    Thank you.

Following the instructions for creating the Exile DVD folder and renaming the "Data" folder to "data" and then moving the data folder into the "Exile DVD" folder also worked for me.

I'm on Mac OS X Leopard on a Mac Book Pro - Dual Processor.

What I'm running in to is the sound cuts in and out. I've tried turning off File Sharing.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Exile runs fine on OSX 10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6.2 (Snow Leopard). Just one processor must run (see Preferences to turn off the CPU #2), else the sound cut off and on. But since I have upgraded 10.6.3, the movies don't run no more.

What's the latest on this? I still am unable to load Myst III (DVD, single disc) on a Snow Leopard Mac with OS at 10.6.8. Is this possible? I've followed directions and get a .jpg file it can't find and everything freezes. Appreciate any help!

Hi MacRutchik, see this topic for an installer.
Mac OS X installer programs for Myst games:
realMYST | Myst III | Myst IV | Myst V | See all...
