aviation engines are kind of similar to the inertial thruster i want to build
seems the costs will put it off
Would that be the Bristol Mercury engine (or similar)?
The SoW:BoB development team are looking for reference pictures of it ,here:

Sorry if it's a stupid question.
Can I say 'Corrrrr look at the pistons on that!?!' Or shall I just piston off and stop spamming this thread
Looks great though, although I would love a plane attach to the end of it![]()
Oh yeah, stroke that piston...wait that didn't sound right![]()

Is there actually a market for this stuff? I have thought about making this sort of toy before, but only as a personal hobby. I never thought that it could actually be done for profit. I did interview at a place that made scale model jet engines about ten years ago, but declined because I could see that the owner of the shop was an agressive A-hole looking for a chance to explode.
The design that is pictured looks fairly simple to produce as far as radials go. Does anyone here know if there actually is a steady market for this kind of product, and if there are shops that are already established that build this something similar to this item? (ie, competition)
I would like to know because if I could make a reasonably good living at it, I might be willing to invest the money to tool up and manufacture this type of product depending on the factors involved.
Interesting question, Suppose you might have a limited collectors market, but who knows..
Someone thinks its worth it though, see
