I am running a Duo Core Mac Mini 1.66 running 10.4.7 and 512. The install worked great with the patch. However, when I go to start the game, the screen flashes and then goes back to the desktop with a message telling me the games unexpectedly quit.
I tried to get help from Ubi Support, but they said the game wasn't supported for Intel Macs(even though they made a patch.)
Has anyone else had this problem and if so, is there a solution? Otherwise I am going to return the game.

I also get the same problem running a 20" iMac intel. I have 10.4.7 and the default installer on the DVD worked fine for me. But the game just blacks the screen, shows the desktop at a new resolution, then crashes.
So far I don't know a solution nor have I seen anyone else report this problem except in this thread.
Just a quick note to say we're seeing exactly the same problem on a brand new MacBook (black, 1G memory). The interesting piece is that all three of these problems/posts are so close together in time. I'm wondering if this crash is associated with the latest version of the system (10.4.7), or something else that has cropped up very recently.

Happily, Mac OS X 10.4.8 update fixes the problem. (I already played it on my sister's laptop, but now I can play it whenever I want.)
