Hey,
I had this awesome idea for a game last night called Far Cry: Conflict.

It's a MMO FPS. Pretty much Far Cry 2's singleplayer blended in with a more MMO feel.

The game will use the Dunia engine, instead this time the game will be much more easier to connect with no problems whatsoever. The game will be multiplayer only.

Basically, when you make your character you choose if you are either APR or UFFL. You choose your character's clothes, headgear, all that stuff. You also choose your class. Your class is basically your gun load-out for the start of the game. As you progress in ranks, by doing missions with friends, you can pick up new weapons by visiting the gun dealer. The gun dealer will have guns specifically for you. You can change your class at any time through the gun dealer. Far Cry: Conflict will follow a similar mission line as Far Cry 2. You can group up with four other friends, and if you accept a mission they are able to accept and do it with you, with the same objective. Although, when you get a mission, people of the opposing faction near the mission zone will be notified via phone, giving missions a heck of a lot more danger, and promotes player vs player action. Guard Posts/Towns etc will be evenly balanced for both factions.

Voice chat will be incredibly realistic. The only way you can chat to people across the zone is via phone. You just pull up your phone, choose the contact/s (you can add contacts, pretty much adding friends to a friends list) you wish to call and hit OK. They will get a ring and can pick up or not. It is up to them. Once they have picked up you just talk into the microphone and chat to them. Simple, yet effective. When you are not on the phone, you can talk into your microphone and those within range can hear you talking. So this means you can voice commands to teammates, BUT, the AI and enemy faction can hear you. This means, you can sit on top of a rock ledge, and whisper tactics to your friends and plan out your attack. If you do not have a microphone, you can call up someone but you can type instead, same goes for normal chat.

You can upgrade each of your gun's accuracy and reliability three times, which unlock at certain levels. There are also equipment upgrades which you unlock at certain levels. You also need to buy grenades, ammo and molotovs, which can be traded. There is a currency in the game. In order to buy these weapons you need diamonds. You can trade diamonds with players, trade guns and equipment with them and other things. Diamonds can be accumulated by doing missions. Although, the diamonds are split between friends.

There is a food/water system as well. You need to buy food and water to stay alive. When you get hungry you can just hit the Eat button, same for drinking. Healing system will be the same as Far Cry 2's multiplayer, as with fire.

This makes for an incredibly team-based fun MMO, which encourages working with teammates and adds a depth of realism. And it would also be very cool when one group of one faction drives into another group of the other faction. Some random gun fights that are really deep and intense.

And also, if you get shot down you can get healed by teammates. If you die, you will respawn at a safehouse. Safehouses are capture points throughout the entire game. The more safehouses that your faction has, the more spawn points there are for your team. There is also an abundance of beer in safehouses, which you can drink and celebrate and muck around with friends. As well as that, there are two vehicles and ammo piles there as well. It allows a stop off point for your group if you need to stock up, or if you just need a rest from killing.

Another idea: In order to drive cars you need a drivers license of some sort, where you learn to drive. You get this upgrade when you rank up to a certain level (10, or so). Until then, you can take buses or trains which you actually are sitting in while it's driving (and you can jump in with friends as well), which have routes all over the map. Overall, there would be about 30 ranks, and the map would be about 3x the size of Far Cry 2's singleplayer.

What you guys think? I know it sounds a lot like WoW's infrastructure, but that's what all MMOs are based off these days.

And there won't be RPGs, because thats just way to overpowered, but there will be grenade launchers.
