Cannot sse title screen | Forums

After I installed SH4 I can watch the ubi soft intro and the opening movie but after that my screen goes blank.. I can hear the music in background but cannot see or do anything not even a mouse pointer.. Help please

Welcome to the SH Forum.

Your problem is not new. What you can do is remove the intro movie files. They are probably located in C:\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Movies\intro (this is figuring you are using your C drive. Otherwise there in the drive you installed the game into.)

Make sure you have patch your version of SH4 to the 1.4 patch if you haven't already. If you have SH4 with U-boat Missions you already have the latest version.

Negative sir did not work.. now it just goes strsight to the blank title screen still hear music playing, but no movies now... runnin a nvidia 8500 gt my resolution is 1440 x 900.. tried messing with differ resolutions to no aveil this really sucks and im not tech savvy at all.. ne more recommendations will be well recieved

I even change my nvidia control panel to 1024 x 768 which i think is default screen settin in game.. drivin me crazy i feel more comfortable lookin down sights of a M4 then i do sittin behind this HP

And I got it as a Digital Download from www.direct2.drive.com as a budle pack that included the U boat missions

Is your resolution for the game set the same as what you have your desk top resolution.

If you are running Vista did you download Directx 9.0c. This is needed to run the game.

i dont know how to change the resolution settings in the game without being able to pull up options from main screen

installed every directx 9.0 i could find from microsoft still nothin same problem.. really frustrating done everything i know how to do which is not much

Downloaded IL2 which is also made by ubisoft runs fine... Really wanna play SH4 just got done uninstalling and reinstalling twice still nothing.. changed the main.cfg file to match my monitor setting like u said in a different post and nothing on the end either
