Thread: Whilst Waiting For 1.3 - What's On Your Ipod? | Forums

Or generic MP3 player, or in the CD player in your car, or on your retro style walkman? Share it with the rest of us.

As for me, a quick check reveals:

    Car CD: U2: Joshua Tree
MP3 Player: Random stuff - mostly old Genesis and Police.

    What's on yours?

Well, on my gramophone there is but one track: The Tipperary song, if you've no objections!

On my radio, I have a much augmented CBS mod, a Superman station, Burns and Allen, Jack Benny, Tokio Rose, and a few other period stations of my own making.

In my car - current audio book is The Secret Life of DNA (just finished Salt) and an MP3 disc of mostly various 90's indy rock and old bluegrass.

At work, among other things, I'm listening to archives of the Phil Hendrie Show and all of the above.

Bob Wills and his Texas playboys (Not what it sounds like)
    and various swing music.

(I'm 16, and my friend HATE my music taste with "a passion" I have one friend that won't even be in the same room as my music )

Ain't got an iPod or MP3 or portable CD player.
    Ain't got much music either.

I use my good ol Techniques turntable and vinyl most of the time. The CD player on the table thinks I hate it.

Nothing like some Billie Holiday, a big jug of anything, and something smokin on the grill.

Odd one out -- my iPod has BBC Today podcasts and Shakespeare audiobooks.

Gotta listen to something when going for absolute realism by not utilising time compression.

Last thing I had on was an album by Art Farmer, Jazz fans will know who he is. Apart from that whilst I work on the PC I have been listening to Jelly Roll Mortons library of congress recordings on his life and music of the times and I have to say that on some of the old songs if you think todays lyrics are blue in places you ain't heard anything yet!....had to make sure the speakers were turned really low at one point...A very good history in Jazz. Apart from that I have a load of Jazz and Swing music to get ready for my weekly hospital radio stint when I get a captive audiance to listen to my kind of music.
Apart from Goldeneagle 8 and me, anyone else out there like Jazz and Swing?

No iPod, but a sizeable (1300 tracks, many complete albums) collection of mp3s on the PC (must put some on CD as MP3 tracks as the new min Hi Fi plays mp3).

Born in the late 50's so the collection comprises:

    Genesis (as far as Duke)
    Police (as far as Synchronicity)
    Queen (again mostly early)
    Pink Floyd
    Men at Work
    Pretenders
    Cat Stevens
    Garth Brooks (don't laugh)
John Denver (I said don't laugh!!!)
    REM
    Some Ska!

    and many many more
