SH5 is difficult to play without yet another patch
Under the Ubisoft directory under SUPPORT there is a UD.exe file which will actually update the game and it did do so to 1.2 then - the game did not automatically update on the first or subsequent use of the launcher. So you do not need to download the patch just use that update file.
