Quick Start:
1. Go to graphics settings and lower all settings except water quality and such that is a must.
2. Press F1 to see commands
3. Play the tutorial and sink all possible ships to get 20 promotion points before start.
4. When in harbour set difficulty settings - they can not be changed on sea.
5. In harbour there are also 2 guys you can talk to to get started.

Thank you Big Bill your post is a great help I will try it , by the way how do you get the extra Dials on Right side of screen in or when doing Torp run and setting up Torps also how do you get the Crew icons on the bottom of screen to click on the use for extra knowledge they have, and were do you save what ever files they are in the SH5 DIR.

did you read the very first posting of this thead and did you follow the links provided by Yooperbacker?

You should have found all the required information to get the dials, the fixes, the mods and the help to install all the data into the SH5 directory.

Your TEAM WORK doesn't mean to be nannied by some others while you should simply read and take up the already provided information for people in your situation.
Please understand it is somehow boring to push every new Kaleun through these basics, especially if your grammar and syntax is quite 'quaint'.

Do your homework and read, understand, install and enjoy.

I have a question, when a torpedo hits a ship, there are 2 lines just above it, what do those mean?

I have installed the game and it ran the updates when it started the first time, but from there it just updates the ubisoft launcher, and then refuses to start. why does it do this. is the disc defective?

As far as I can guess the top bar is the damage to the deck, and the bottom one is to the hull damage. I could be wrong

Tip when shooting manually at an object with the deck gun , if you have your map open on the side you can just double click on the target (on the map) and the gun will position it s direction to the ship. Sometimes slight elevation is needed but not by much. I was able to take out 4 of the stationary warships in the SCRAPA FLOW area just with guns.

also in game ship recog only show US ships for some reason (the one in periscope view not museum)

are quite like the look of the flag mod, every ship/boat needs a flag but where do I find it?

I have a pc laptop for years SH4 works great on it.its a Toshiba.Vista. AMD Athlon (tm) 64x2 Dua Processor TK-55 1.80 GHZ. Ram 3454 MB.32 Bit Operating System. And SH5 starts off then crashes on me if anyone can help me.
