Thread: Lol, I'm now afraid to hit the "enter" key. | Forums

    Just caught myself going to hit "enter" to make a post in another forum and stopped, then hit the "+" key.

    Does not take more than a few times of firing a fish by mistake to respect it.

    I swapped mine to "cancel time compression". Makes much more sense.

    Could you explain how to do that please?

    goto C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Cfg\Commands_en .cfg which has all the key bindings. There are a BUCKETLOAD of unbound commands that can be of use especially if setting up a Shoot! profile or similar.

    For the above "fix" find and change to:

    [Cmd6]
    Name=Time_compr_normal
    Ctxt=1,2,6,9
    Key0=0x0D,,"Enter"

    and:

    [Cmd313]
    Name=Fire_torpedo
    Ctxt=1
    Key0=0x0D,c,"Ctl+Enter"

    This'll bind time compression 1x to the enter key and fire torpedo will be remapped to Ctrl+Enter. Don't forget that backing up the Cfg file is a good idea before tinkering.

    I set a "safety" on my fire torp, I select perhaps a bow tube, set manual input to Bug angle 180 degrees. This generates an impossible gyroangle and the torpedo refuses to fire! You can hit enter all day long and it won't fire the torpedo.
