    Hi guys,

To try to get some statistical evidence towards how many people are having issues with Assassin's Creed PlayStation 3 after installing the update, please take the time to vote in the poll below.

Please note: do not vote in this poll if you have not installed the game update from PlayStation Network or are playing something other than the PlayStation 3 version

    Thanks!

I can't access the patch in the US, so I can't answer this poll. Any idea when it will be released for North America?

The patch has not been released to North America yet, Ubisoft has submitted it to SCEA for approval and we/they are currently waiting on Sony.

Ubisoft does not have any information on how long the approval process will take.

This information is taken from Ubirazz's posts on the AC patch discussion.
Those who say it cannot be done shouldn't interrupt the people doing it.

It usually freezes in loading screens, and once or twice randomly in the cities. I think it was acre, I don't play it much anymore though because I hate waiting through all the talking whenever you start a memory block to free roam .

Mine froze twice in almost the exact same place. First time, I killed the first real mark, and he died, and it went to the silly soliloquy and froze. Second time, I killed him and it froze with Altair's pointy thing in his neck. Called Ubi, rather upset, turned off the Info Board, got past it. This is pretty upsetting. Ubi says that if it recurs they will not refund my money. Best Buy won't take the return because the DMCA states that all refunds of open media products (movies, CDs, games) have to be handled by the publisher. Here's hoping I'm not stuck with a broken game. Sure hope Ubi gets off of their asses and fixes this. This was not inspiring:

Now that the patch for the us version has been released, I launched the game for the first time. I had a freeze in the first blue loading screen with Altair at the center
I won't play the game anymore until a new patch is released, I thought my PS3 would never turn off. I have a PS3 40Gb, firmware 2.01 and patch 1.10 installed.

I was so happy that this came out, but the game froze as if there was no path. The patch seemed to do nothing. It didnt even make the time in between freezes longer or anything. Once I started up the game, got out of the assassins hide out place in Jerusalem and hopped onto 2 or 3 buildings it froze.

It would be very smart if you come out with a patch that actually does something, but even better to come out with a game that doesnt need patches.

Now that I've ran the game 5 different times for about 2-4 hour periods I can say it fixed the freezing for me. Granted it has now caused other nasty problems...

Im curious into what kind of freezes you all are getting? I got the matrix style freeze nearly all of the time. I wounder if the fixed that freezing issue and havent pinpointed the lockup and loading freezes yet.

Anyway looks like they almost made some progress here.

No problems after the update so far, but I'm sticking to my old theory from before I installed the update. This past week my little theory has been consistent every time I've played. If the game loads fast when it starts up, it freezes. If it loads slowly it plays fine. I'm 7 for 7 so far this week(before the update).

    Here's my original post (edited):
One thing I have noticed(whether or not it's dumb luck or not, I have no idea) is that on the initial load screen(right after pressing start on the game saves to HDD screen), where it shows the the little status bar moving left to right, it seems that every time it loads very quickly (about 5 seconds/flickering HDD light on PS3) the game ends up freezing, but when the game loads slower(about 10 seconds/solid HDD light) it hasn't froze on me(yet)even after about 4 hours of play. It's probably nothing but I thought I'd throw it out there.

For me the update hasn't changed anything. The game continues to freeze at random places after a few minutes of play in Memory Block 0.

The game remains unplayable. How about a thread in which you tell your dissatisfied customers how to get a full refund for this game?
