Okay...first lemme post my specs...

Kay...now my problems are....1. When I go to download the patch, I get it downloaded, but then it gives me this

Trying to download update file from http://patches.ubi.com/settlers_6/settlers_6_v1.3.exe. Destination: C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Temp\ubiD36D.tmp.exe.
Successfully downloaded update file.
Verifying downloaded file's CRC: cdfb5420. Expected: cdfb5420.
Starting update file (C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Temp\ubiD36D.tmp.exe)
Failed to start downloaded update file. File corrupted? (C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Temp\ubiD36D.tmp.exe)


I get a little pissed, but decide to go on to the game...I strt it and it works fine.....I start a new campaign, and it loads...it goes to the opening movie....nothing...just black....I chalk it up to some glitch with the first time run through...I click thourgh everything and get to the game...I can't see the actual map....I can see the icons representing deer, the mini map and tool bar....but not the map...

Can someone help me out u_u

At first, load and start the patch manually from here:
http://patches.ubi.com/settlers_6/settlers_6_v1.3.exe

Second, try to deactivate shaders and antialiasing in the graphic options.

Because your machine is a laptop, you have the slight chance that the game will not run at all on your computer. Remember, its stated on the package that laptops are not supported. However, the game runs on many types of laptops, so the hope dies last.
