Please vote on your choice of how RS should proceed in their development of the game(s) going forward.. Which is more important to you and which do you see has the most potential to make RS the best learning tool (and game) out there and to make it last and not die out.

Your last option ain't gonna happen.

They're listening to customers and are going to release a good variety of music. Licensing and cost is a huge issue, they'll get what they can get.

What I'd like to see them provide is more intermediate to advanced level technique and practice modes, like string skipping/finger independence exercises, ear-training, speed-building, etc. In addition to more complete or challenging song charts.

I know the last wont happen but I was just putting out examples.
I know many have asked for that to happen but it wont.

I first want them to release a patch that fixes riff repeater, and the menuing system.

I then would like to see them focus on great DLC, and community building while they work on the next version.

For bass... I'd much rather bass be integrated into this game rather than be a separate game. I don't like swapping discs, swapping guitars is easier, and I want to play guitar/bass with a friend. Both local, and online.

Some type of deal with HMX and UBI is not impossible since both businesses have a separate focus so some collab might not really canibalize each other's sales. It's unlikely, but not impossible - We don't know what the market will look like a year from now.

I don't know why anyone would want choice one. Wouldn't you want to be able to multiplay with your friend who is a Bass player? Having them be separate games on separate disks would make that impossible.

    regarding one..

there was a post already about bass backwards compatability designed into rocksmith,, what that means i do not know,, if it is a simple patch to unlock bass guitar so it works just like rocksmith then the dlc is the way to go,, but if it isnt' that simple, then i would prefer 50 bass exclusive songs designed for beginner to advanced like rocksmith.

    2. if you look at rocksmith there is no country scale, so i think for country/twang there would have be 50 genre specific songs picks out (none of this cheap 35 songs thing that karokee revolution would do now and then)

3.there shouldn't be a rs2 in the sense it is more of the same, though eventually there has to be a rocksmith version 2.
instead it should be rocksmith intermediate,, or rocksmith advance (aka you had to have mastered most of rocksmith one to lay it)

    4. disc based adds on is the way to go if it is a complete stand alone prodcut, a dlc for the genre should be for song choice and not for if i was going to buy jazz smith as an example i wouldnt' be buy 50 songs but 44 as i downloaded 6 of those songs previously just wouldn't be good for morale.

    5. i have seen harmonix say they are retooling rockband,, what means i do not know but i think rocksmith obiviously changed the state of the game so now the other companies have to adapt, they are all watching rocksmith closely.

DLC are great bc/ you can pick and choose what you will purchase. However I'm already looking forward to RS2...assuming enhancements to the game. But DLC's are the best way to go!

You are missing an important category in this list...which is instructional content.

    I'm gonna quote oldgeezer99 here:
"another idea for DLC is straight instructional content only, eg "Beginning Jazz" or "Metal 101" or "Blues Riffs", and other lesson-based training (or games too for that matter)...since it can teach us to play new riffs...that's something I'd pay for, is instructional-based content (especially if/when they add Tablature and note-based training to a patch/upgrade to the core program)."
Thanks oldgeezer99 I could not have said it better.

In additional to instructional content on different styles I would also like to see guitar/music theory. When the music theory option was brought up on the Rocksmith Developer Ask Me Anything on Reddit the reply was:
"A bit out of our scope, but if there's a huge demand, something we could consider."

However, if Rocksmith does take off, and it begins to be seen as more of a guitar training program than a game (which in my personal opinion is how it should be seen), this is something the developers will want to add.

I have so much excitement about Rocksmith, that I bought a PS3 just to play it.
Please make Jeff Buckley’s version of Hallelujah a DLC song!

I would like them to focus on DLC but if the only way to get certain bands into the game like AC/DC, Led Zep, Metallica and the Beatles is by giving them dedicated discs then I wouldn't mind that either.
