Thread: [PC] Screen Freezes on connecting to MP game | Forums

  1. #1
After patch update, was only able to join 1 game, otherwise, loading screen, map name screen, then hangs on a black screen and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del to kill the process.

    Anyone else getting this?

OK, right now, 4:45 EST, there are 5 servers up for NR. Of them only pabclan.net I can connect to, and only about 25% of the time.

Every other server I try to join freezes at the final loading screen (black screen or the 3 guys running over the word "Loading')

    What's the deal?

i had the same issue. I Figured out that in order to join a server it has to have a ping listed beside it otherwise it freezes. The thing is there where hardly any pings listed and they were all in the 500's. So i just restarted my computer and looked at the server list and now every server has a ping. All i did was restart the comp.

I dont know if this might help your problem but it did for me.

Well, thanks to this new patch, I've had to hard reboot 4 or 5 times now because the Ctrl-Alt-Del wouldn't take (thanks for that UBI).

But, no, I still get no pings. When I set the filter to Team Deathmatch and No Respawns, I get 5 total servers (the same I've always gotten) and none of them list a ping. All 5 are High Stakes = No, btw.

I dont know anything about computers so im sry if i cant help much, but could it be a port issue? Do you see pings in t-hunt server list or is it just lines as well?

Nah, its not a port issue. The game just doesn't give pings to the majority of servers. I did try to look for all servers (taking off all the filters) and I saw some pings for the 1st time ever. But I would still say it was only about 10% of the total servers I got.

Seeing the ping is not the issue though. There's a problem with the loading screen.
