if infantry units are the strongest units why do they die so easily? they only survive if they are garrisoned in buildings.

I dont know. If you were standing out in the middle of a field with only a pan to protect yourself from a minigun, how long would you last?
Well simply put, infantry in buildings have more room to do "special" activities to help them get "pumped" for the fight. Whereas drivers and pilots do not have enough room to participate in these "special" activities. They also have to keep their eyes on the road not on the... you know. Simple really. Just think about it.

Infantry always have been the strongest weapon in a armies arsenal. Ever since the Roman Legions. Just think about it for a second, a group of men and women who have trained together for a long time, and know each others moves without even having to think, is going to be able to out smart and destroy anything that is thrown at it, with the exception of a CBN attack.
