Lomac Graphics not improving no matter what setting | Forums

Hi guys

Bought LOMAC again 2 days ago like most ppl

I am running

2.8 GHZ
1024 RAM
160 HD
and Geforce 4 128mb Graphic Card

In the Graphics setting in the options of lomac I put all to high as my PC should cope with it without a hitch.

I go into a free flight, and the graphics looked crap, so I put the settings on the lowest back in the options, again went back into the free flight, and they were exactly the same.

So its like not registering my card or something????

Your GF4, is it a ti card or mx card? MX cards can't do the fancier effects.

its the geforce MX 440

At the moment its not doing any effects, flat textures etc!

The card runs Il2 FB perfect, and the gfx are awesome....

Lomac at the moment is looking exactly the same as the flanker gfx.......

What settings do you have in the nvidia control panel? Are you letting lomac dictate the aa/anistropic settings-- or do you have them manually set?

i have this same problem and are running a ati 9500 pro 128....i havent seen any improvment to the graphics no matter how high i turin em up

P4 2.6ghz..ATI 9500pro 128...512 pc2100 ram...sb 5.1...

GF4MX cannot do dx8 pixil and vertex shaders, which are need for effects such as heat blur, water, etc. Only way to get them is to upgrad to a DX8 compliant card.

Also, make sure you have nothing running in the background. And I mean nothing.

Im a bit of a n00b with this kinda thing, so if you could explain that further it would be much appreciated.

I have currently got DX9

I really dont understand it, I checked it wasnt the DX9 so ran il2 FB and it ran fine in perfect mode... come back to lomac and no change.
