I am having problems with installing the game.

The first time I tried to install the game the install process stoppped at about 65% done and so I waited about 30 to 40 mins and nothing happened. So I cancelled the install and tried it again. The second time the install worked and everything went smoothly , however I did not have internet at the time so I still could not play it. So I got internet now and went to play it but I had to go through an updating process which stalled halfway through which caused me to cancel it and try to reinstall the game. So when I went to uninstall I went through the process and it said I have completely uninstalled the game. But in control panel it still reads that there is 19.8 mb still on my computer, so everytime I put the disk in and click on the install option, the game asks me if I want to uninstall the game. If I click yes it does it's uninstall and says it's complete, but still the 19.8mb is still on my comp, and everytime after that it does the same thing over and over again. If I click no everything just closes off. I think the problem I have is trying to remove this 19.8 mb of far cry 2 so that it will let me install the game again. Any help would be appriciated greatly.

1st, make sure you have good internet connection to be able to get the update patches and to register.

2nd, go in and delete the entire Ubisoft folder here:
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\

after you delete it, restart your entire machine, then do #3

3rd,run the install program, but choose a different folder to install to so it won't tell you its already there.
normally, it would install to

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Far Cry 2\

if you do #2, then you will have removed this folder entirely. When it asks where to install, make it a little different, but not a lot.

I'd suggest

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\FarCry2\

This should work fine. It does not ask you for activation until after you have finished the installation and then you try to start the game.

also, it does take awhile to install ... like 15 min or so on our machines. prob longer on more common machines, we have some pretty serious gaming boxes. don't get antsy.

I'd let it try to install for at least 45 min before I tried to do it a 2nd time.

Ok so When I put the disk in it does not give me the option to choose which file to install it in. I put the disk in and click on install, then my install shield wiz comes up and loads a little bit and after that it goes straight to asking me the question about wanting to uninstall the game. Maybe if there is a way to choose before I go into the game?? I'm not sure?? I really do appreciate your time in helping. Thank you.
